Article L2123-21 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The deputy mayor, referred to in article L. 2113-13, receives the allowance corresponding to the effective exercise of the functions of mayor, set in accordance with articles L. 2123-20 and L. 2123-23 according to the population of the associated municipality.

Deputies to the deputy mayor receive the allowance corresponding to the actual performance of the duties of deputy, set in accordance with I of article L. 2123-24 depending on the population of the associated commune.

The second paragraph of this Article is applicable to the deputy mayors of communes resulting from a merger of communes pursuant to Section 3 of Chapter III of Title I of this Book, in its version prior to Law no. 2010-1563 of 16 December 2010 on the reform of local authorities.

Article L2123-21

Le maire délégué, visé à l’article L. 2113-13, perçoit l’indemnité correspondant à l’exercice effectif des fonctions de maire, fixée conformément aux articles L. 2123-20 et L. 2123-23 en fonction de la population de la commune associée.

Les adjoints au maire délégué perçoivent l’indemnité correspondant à l’exercice effectif des fonctions d’adjoint, fixée conformément au I de l’article L. 2123-24 en fonction de la population de la commune associée.

Le deuxième alinéa du présent article est applicable aux maires délégués des communes issues d’une fusion de communes en application de la section 3 du chapitre III du titre Ier du présent livre, dans sa rédaction antérieure à la loi n° 2010-1563 du 16 décembre 2010 de réforme des collectivités territoriales.
