When the closure or relocation of a government department, with the exception of central government departments and departments with national jurisdiction, a local authority, a public establishment for inter-municipal cooperation with its own tax status or a body entrusted with a public service mission located within the perimeter of the operation is envisaged, the representative of the State in the department or the executive authority of the local authority, of the inter-municipal public body with its own tax authority or of the body entrusted with a public service remit shall provide the mayor of the municipality and the president of the inter-municipal public body with its own tax authority of which the municipality is a member with all the information justifying this closure or relocation, at least six months before the date scheduled for its implementation. It will also indicate the measures planned to enable this service to be maintained in another form locally.
This information will also be sent to the region and the department.
