Article L2333-36 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The amount of contributions paid is checked by the municipality. The mayor and the agents commissioned by him may verify the declarations produced by the accommodation providers, hoteliers, owners and intermediaries mentioned in article L. 2333-33.

To this end, they may request any person mentioned in the first paragraph of this article to provide them with the relevant accounting documents.

Le montant des cotisations acquittées est contrôlé par la commune. Le maire et les agents commissionnés par lui peuvent procéder à la vérification des déclarations produites par les logeurs, les hôteliers, les propriétaires et les intermédiaires mentionnés à l’article L. 2333-33.

A cette fin, ils peuvent demander à toute personne mentionnée au premier alinéa du présent article la communication des pièces comptables s’y rapportant.
