Article L2335-15 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

An emergency rehousing assistance fund is hereby established from 2006 to 2025.

This fund is intended to provide financial assistance to municipalities, competent local public establishments or competent public interest groupings, in order to provide emergency accommodation or temporary rehousing for a maximum period of six months for people occupying premises that present a danger to their health or safety and who have been the subject of either an eviction order or an evacuation order.

Financial assistance may also be granted to them to make the premises unfit for use.

The above provisions are without prejudice to any reimbursement obligations to which landlords are subject under specific legislative provisions.

A decree shall set out the terms and conditions for the application of this article.

Article L2335-15

Il est institué de 2006 à 2025 un fonds d’aide pour le relogement d’urgence.

Ce fonds est destiné à apporter une aide financière aux communes, aux établissements publics locaux compétents ou aux groupements d’intérêt public compétents, afin d’assurer durant une période maximale de six mois l’hébergement d’urgence ou le relogement temporaire de personnes occupant des locaux qui présentent un danger pour leur santé ou leur sécurité et qui ont fait l’objet soit d’une ordonnance d’expulsion, soit d’un ordre d’évacuation.

Une aide financière peut également leur être attribuée pour mettre les locaux hors d’état d’être utilisables.

Les dispositions ci-dessus ne font pas obstacle aux obligations de remboursement auxquelles sont tenus les propriétaires en application de dispositions législatives spécifiques.

Un décret fixe les modalités d’application du présent article.
