Article L2354-2 of the French Labour Code

Four years after the establishment of the European Company Committee, the latter shall examine whether it is appropriate to enter into negotiations with a view to concluding the agreement under the conditions defined in Chapter II. To this end, the manager of the European Company shall convene a meeting of the Committee within six months of the end of the four-year period.

To conduct these negotiations, the Committee acts as a special negotiating body.

The Committee remains in office until it is renewed or replaced.

Quatre ans après l’institution du comité de la société européenne, celui-ci examine s’il convient d’engager des négociations en vue de conclure l’accord dans les conditions définies au chapitre II. A cet effet, le dirigeant de la société européenne convoque une réunion du comité dans un délai de six mois à compter du terme de quatre ans.

Pour mener ces négociations, le comité fait office de groupe spécial de négociation.

Le comité demeure en fonction tant qu’il n’a pas été renouvelé ou remplacé.
