Article L2421-1 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The legal regime governing certain communal plots of land over which certain residents have exclusive rights of enjoyment, derogating from ordinary law, may be terminated at any time, regardless of its origin.

Where the rights of enjoyment were only of a life nature, they ended on 4 January 1967.

Il peut être mis fin, à tout moment, quelle que soit son origine, au régime juridique auquel sont soumis certains terrains communaux sur lesquels certains habitants sont titulaires de droits de jouissance exclusifs, dérogatoires au droit commun.

Lorsque les droits de jouissance n’avaient qu’un caractère viager, ils ont pris fin à la date du 4 janvier 1967.
