Article L2421-3 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

This statement, drawn up and stamped by the mayor, is then submitted to the town council for consideration.

When the second paragraph of article L. 2421-1 to the legal regime defined in this article, the municipal council shall decide whether to terminate it.

Cet état, arrêté et visé par le maire, est ensuite soumis à l’examen du conseil municipal.

Lorsqu’il n’est pas mis fin de plein droit en application du second alinéa de l’article L. 2421-1 au régime juridique défini à cet article, le conseil municipal décide s’il y est mis fin.
