Article L2437-1 of the French Labour Code

Breaking the employment contract of an employee registered on a list drawn up by the representative of the State in the département, in disregard of the provisions relating to the administrative authorisation procedure set out in this book, is punishable by one year’s imprisonment and a fine of 3,750 euros.
