Article L2439-1 of the French Labour Code

Breaking the employment contract of a maritime assessor, a candidate for these positions or a maritime assessor who has been out of office for less than six months, in disregard of the provisions relating to the administrative authorisation procedure set out in this book, is punishable by one year’s imprisonment and a fine of €3,750.
