Article L2544-10 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The municipal council regulates the method of administration of communal property subject to the following provisions:

1° With regard to communal forests falling under the forestry regime, it adheres to the legal provisions;

2° The sharing of communal property is prohibited.

Le conseil municipal règle le mode d’administration des biens communaux sous réserve des dispositions suivantes :

1° En ce qui concerne les forêts communales relevant du régime forestier, il s’en tient aux dispositions légales ;

2° Le partage des biens communaux est interdit.
