Article L3115-5 of the French Public Health Code

In the event of a risk to public health, as defined in Article 1 of the 2005 International Health Regulations, the representative of the State in the département may decide to divert an aircraft or direct it to a point of entry that he/she designates with the agreement of the representative of the State with territorial jurisdiction for this point of entry.

En cas de risque pour la santé publique, au sens de l’article 1er du Règlement sanitaire international de 2005, le représentant de l’Etat dans le département peut décider de dérouter un aéronef ou de l’orienter vers un point d’entrée qu’il désigne avec l’accord du représentant de l’Etat territorialement compétent pour ce point d’entrée du territoire.
