Article L3231-3-1 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The départements may award operating subsidies to the local structures of representative trade union organisations under conditions laid down by decree in the Conseil d’Etat. The organisations thus subsidised are required to submit a report to the departmental council detailing the use of the subsidy.

Les départements peuvent attribuer des subventions de fonctionnement aux structures locales des organisations syndicales représentatives dans des conditions fixées par décret en Conseil d’Etat. Les organisations ainsi subventionnées sont tenues de présenter au conseil départemental un rapport détaillant l’utilisation de la subvention.
