Article L422-3 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

Higher education establishments are responsible for the preventive health monitoring of foreign students.
The conditions for applying this section, in particular with regard to the resources required, the conditions for enrolment in an educational establishment and those in which a foreigner falling within the scope of article L. 422-2 may be exempted from the obligation laid down in article L. 412-1, are specified by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.

Les établissements d’enseignement supérieur sont responsables du suivi sanitaire préventif des étudiants étrangers.
Les conditions d’application de la présente section, en particulier en ce qui concerne les ressources exigées, les conditions d’inscription dans un établissement d’enseignement et celles dans lesquelles l’étranger entrant dans les prévisions de l’article L. 422-2 peut être dispensé de l’obligation prévue à l’article L. 412-1, sont précisées par décret en Conseil d’Etat.
