The foreign parents of a foreign minor who meets the conditions laid down in article L. 425-9, or the foreign national who holds a court order granting him or her parental authority over the minor, will be issued with a temporary residence permit for a maximum period of six months, provided that they can prove that they usually live in France with the minor and provide for his or her upkeep and education. The condition laid down in article L. 412-1 does not apply.
This temporary residence permit entitles the holder to work.
It is renewed for the duration of the foreign minor’s medical treatment, provided that the conditions laid down for its issue continue to be met.
It is issued by the administrative authority, following the opinion of a panel of doctors from the medical department of the French Office for Immigration and Integration, under the conditions laid down in article L. 425-9.
