A foreign national, habitually resident in France, whose state of health requires medical care, the lack of which could have exceptionally serious consequences for him or her and who, in view of the health care available and the characteristics of the health system in his or her country of origin, could not effectively receive appropriate treatment there, will be issued with a temporary residence permit bearing the wording “private and family life” for a period of one year. The condition set out in article L. 412-1 does not apply.
Each year, a report will be presented to Parliament on the activities carried out under this article by the Office’s medical service and the general public health data collected in this context.
