Article L4532-1 of the French Labour Code

When the planned duration or volume of work on a building or civil engineering project exceeds certain thresholds, the project owner must submit a prior declaration before the work begins:

1° To the administrative authority ;

2° To the professional body for health, safety and working conditions provided for by article L. 4111-6 in the building and public works sector;

3° To the social security bodies responsible for occupational risk prevention.

Article L4532-1

Lorsque la durée ou le volume prévus des travaux d’une opération de bâtiment ou de génie civil excède certains seuils, le maître d’ouvrage adresse avant le début des travaux une déclaration préalable :

1° A l’autorité administrative ;

2° A l’organisme professionnel de santé, de sécurité et des conditions de travail prévu par l’article L. 4111-6 dans la branche d’activité du bâtiment et des travaux publics ;

3° Aux organismes de sécurité sociale compétents en matière de prévention des risques professionnels.
