Article L466-1 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

The competent judicial authorities hearing proceedings relating to offences involving companies whose securities are admitted to trading on a regulated market or offered to the public on a multilateral trading facility, or to offences committed in connection with transactions on a market in financial instruments or assets referred to in II of Article L. 421-1, may, at any stage of the proceedings, request the opinion of the Autorité des marchés financiers. This opinion must be sought when proceedings are instituted pursuant to Articles L. 465-1 to L. 465-3-3.

Article L466-1

Les autorités judiciaires compétentes, saisies de poursuites relatives à des infractions mettant en cause les sociétés dont les titres financiers sont admis aux négociations sur un marché réglementé ou offerts au public sur un système multilatéral de négociation, ou à des infractions commises à l’occasion d’opérations sur un marché d’instruments financiers ou d’actifs mentionnés au II de l’article L. 421-1, peuvent, en tout état de la procédure, demander l’avis de l’Autorité des marchés financiers. Cet avis est obligatoirement demandé lorsque les poursuites sont engagées en exécution des articles L. 465-1 à L. 465-3-3.
