Article L4721-6 of the French Labour Code

The formal notice specifies the infringements found and sets a deadline by which the infringements must have ceased.

This deadline is set taking into account the circumstances. It is based on the minimum period stipulated in each case by the decrees issued in application of articles L. 4111-6 and L. 4321-4. It may not be less than four days.

La mise en demeure indique les infractions constatées et fixe un délai à l’expiration duquel ces infractions doivent avoir disparu.

Ce délai est fixé en tenant compte des circonstances. Il est établi à partir du délai minimum prévu dans chaque cas par les décrets pris en application des articles L. 4111-6 et L. 4321-4. Il ne peut être inférieur à quatre jours.
