Article L4731-3 of the French Labour Code

When all measures have been taken to put an end to the situation of serious and imminent danger or the dangerous situation that gave rise to a temporary halt to the work or activity, the employer shall inform the Labour Inspectorate monitoring officer referred to in Article L. 8112-1.

After verification, the inspecting officer authorises the resumption of the work or activity concerned.

Lorsque toutes les mesures ont été prises pour faire cesser la situation de danger grave et imminent ou la situation dangereuse ayant donné lieu à un arrêt temporaire de travaux ou d’activité, l’employeur informe l’agent de contrôle de l’inspection du travail mentionné à l’article L. 8112-1.

Après vérification, l’agent de contrôle autorise la reprise des travaux ou de l’activité concernée.
