Article L5134-126 of the French Labour Code

The beneficiary of a teacher’s job for the future will work a number of hours per week adapted to the pursuit of his or her studies and preparation for the competitive examinations for which he or she is preparing. The employment contract specifies the average weekly working time, which may not exceed half of that set out in article L. 3121-27.

The employment contract may stipulate that the weekly working hours may vary over all or part of the period covered by the contract.

Le bénéficiaire d’un emploi d’avenir professeur effectue une durée hebdomadaire de travail adaptée à la poursuite de ses études et à la préparation des concours auxquels il se destine. Le contrat de travail mentionne la durée de travail moyenne hebdomadaire, qui ne peut excéder la moitié de la durée fixée à l’article L. 3121-27.

Le contrat de travail peut prévoir que la durée hebdomadaire peut varier sur tout ou partie de la période couverte par le contrat.
