Article L5213-13 of the French Labour Code

The State approves structures that meet the criteria set out in article L. 5213-13-1 as adapted companies. It concludes multi-year contracts of objectives and resources with them, which are equivalent to approval.

Adapted companies are set up by local authorities or public or private bodies. When they are set up by commercial companies, they take the form of separate legal entities.
