Article L531-34 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

When the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons takes a decision of inadmissibility under the conditions set out in article L. 531-32, it retains the right to examine the application submitted by a foreign national persecuted because of his or her action in favour of freedom or who is seeking protection on another ground.

Article L531-34

Lorsque l’Office français de protection des réfugiés et apatrides prend une décision d’irrecevabilité dans les conditions prévues à l’article L. 531-32, il conserve la faculté d’examiner la demande présentée par un étranger persécuté en raison de son action en faveur de la liberté ou qui sollicite la protection pour un autre motif.
