Article L531-39 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons will notify the applicant in writing of its decision to close the application taken pursuant to Articles L. 531-37 or L. 531-38, by any means guaranteeing confidentiality and personal receipt of this notification. This decision shall state the reasons in fact and in law and shall specify the appeal channels and time limits.
In the case provided for in 3° of Article L. 531-38, the closure decision shall be deemed to have been notified on the date of the decision.

Article L531-39

L’Office français de protection des réfugiés et apatrides notifie par écrit au demandeur sa décision de clôture prise en application des articles L. 531-37 ou L. 531-38, par tout moyen garantissant la confidentialité et la réception personnelle de cette notification. Cette décision est motivée en fait et en droit et précise les voies et délais de recours.
Dans le cas prévu au 3° de l’article L. 531-38, la décision de clôture est réputée notifiée à la date de la décision.
