Article L532-6 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The Cour nationale du droit d’asile (National Court for the Right of Asylum) rules as a collegiate body, within five months of the matter being referred to it. However, without prejudice to the application of Article L. 532-8, when the decision of the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons has been taken under the accelerated procedure, in application of Articles L. 531-24, L. 531-26 or L. 531-27, or constitutes a decision of inadmissibility taken in application of Article L. 531-32, the president of the court or the president of the panel that he designates for this purpose shall rule within five weeks of the referral. The same applies when the Office takes a decision terminating refugee status pursuant to Article L. 511-7 or the benefit of subsidiary protection pursuant to 1° or 3° of Article L. 512-3 for the reason provided for in 4° of Article L. 512-2.

Article L532-6

La Cour nationale du droit d’asile statue en formation collégiale, dans un délai de cinq mois à compter de sa saisine. Toutefois, sans préjudice de l’application de l’article L. 532-8, lorsque la décision de l’Office français de protection des réfugiés et apatrides a été prise selon la procédure accélérée, en application des articles L. 531-24, L. 531-26 ou L. 531-27, ou constitue une décision d’irrecevabilité prise en application de l’article L. 531-32, le président de la cour ou le président de formation de jugement qu’il désigne à cette fin statue dans un délai de cinq semaines à compter de sa saisine. Il en est de même lorsque l’office prend une décision mettant fin au statut de réfugié en application de l’article L. 511-7 ou au bénéfice de la protection subsidiaire en application des 1° ou 3° de l’article L. 512-3 pour le motif prévu au 4° de l’article L. 512-2.
