Article L532-7 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

On his own initiative or at the request of the applicant, the president of the Cour nationale du droit d’asile or the president of the panel appointed for this purpose may, at any time during the procedure, refer the application to the panel if he considers that it does not fall within one of the cases provided for in Articles L. 531-24, L. 531-26, L. 531-27 or L. 531-32, or that it raises a serious difficulty. The court then rules in accordance with the conditions set out in the first sentence of article L. 532-6.

De sa propre initiative ou à la demande du requérant, le président de la Cour nationale du droit d’asile ou le président de formation de jugement désigné à cette fin peut, à tout moment de la procédure, renvoyer à la formation collégiale la demande s’il estime que celle-ci ne relève pas de l’un des cas prévus aux articles L. 531-24, L. 531-26, L. 531-27 ou L. 531-32, ou qu’elle soulève une difficulté sérieuse. La cour statue alors dans les conditions prévues à la première phrase de l’article L. 532-6.
