Article L561-23 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

I – A national financial intelligence unit shall exercise the powers provided for in this chapter. It shall be made up of agents specially authorised by the Minister for the Economy. The conditions of this authorisation as well as the organisation and operating procedures of this unit shall be defined by decree.

II. – The department referred to in I shall receive the declarations provided for in Article L. 561-15 and the information referred to in Articles L. 561-15-1, L. 561-25, L. 561-25-1, L. 561-27, L. 561-28 and L. 561-29.

III. – This department shall collect, analyse, add to and use any information likely to establish the origin or destination of sums or the nature of transactions that have been the subject of a declaration mentioned in Article L. 561-15 or information received under Articles L. 561-25, L. 561-25-1, L. 561-27, L. 561-28 or L. 561-29.

Article L561-23

I – Une cellule de renseignement financier nationale exerce les attributions prévues au présent chapitre. Elle est composée d’agents spécialement habilités par le ministre chargé de l’économie. Les conditions de cette habilitation ainsi que l’organisation et les modalités de fonctionnement de ce service sont définies par décret.

II. – Le service mentionné au I reçoit les déclarations prévues à l’article L. 561-15 et les informations mentionnées aux articles L. 561-15-1, L. 561-25, L. 561-25-1, L. 561-27, L. 561-28 et L. 561-29.

III. – Ce service recueille, analyse, enrichit et exploite tout renseignement propre à établir l’origine ou la destination des sommes ou la nature des opérations ayant fait l’objet d’une déclaration mentionnée à l’article L. 561-15 ou d’une information reçue au titre des articles L. 561-25, L. 561-25-1, L. 561-27, L. 561-28 ou L. 561-29.
