Article L5711-2 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

Mixed syndicates may be authorised to merge. The merger is carried out under the conditions laid down in article L. 5211-41-3, with the exception of provisions relating to territorial continuity.

For the application of II of this article, the agreement to the merger is expressed by concordant deliberations of the deliberative bodies of the mixed unions concerned and by at least two-thirds of the members of each union representing more than half of the total population or by at least half of the members of each union representing two-thirds of the population.

Les syndicats mixtes peuvent être autorisés à fusionner. La fusion est opérée dans les conditions prévues par l’article L. 5211-41-3, à l’exception des dispositions relatives à la continuité territoriale.

Pour l’application du II de cet article, l’accord sur la fusion est exprimé par délibérations concordantes des organes délibérants des syndicats mixtes intéressés et par les deux tiers au moins des membres de chaque syndicat représentant plus de la moitié de la population totale ou par la moitié au moins des membres de chaque syndicat représentant les deux tiers de la population.
