Article L582-9 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The judicial authority shall communicate to the Director General of the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons, on request or ex officio, any evidence gathered in the course of civil proceedings or a criminal or correctional investigation, regardless of the outcome, of such a nature as to give rise to suspicion that the stateless person’s status is fraudulent.

L’autorité judiciaire communique au directeur général de l’Office français de protection des réfugiés et apatrides, sur demande ou d’office, tout élément recueilli au cours d’une instance civile ou d’une information criminelle ou correctionnelle, quelle qu’en soit l’issue, de nature à faire suspecter le caractère frauduleux du statut d’apatride.
