Article L6113-6 of the French Labour Code

Certifications and entitlements corresponding to professional skills that are complementary to professional certifications will be registered for a maximum of five years in a specific register drawn up by France Compétences, at the request of the ministries and certifying bodies that created them and after receiving the assent of the France Compétences commission in charge of professional certification. These certifications and authorisations may, where appropriate, be matched with blocks of skills from professional certifications.

The certifications and authorisations established by the State and required for the practice of a profession or activity on national territory in application of an international standard or a legislative or regulatory provision are registered automatically in the specific register.

Sont enregistrées pour une durée maximale de cinq ans, dans un répertoire spécifique établi par France compétences, sur demande des ministères et organismes certificateurs les ayant créées et après avis conforme de la commission de France compétences en charge de la certification professionnelle, les certifications et habilitations correspondant à des compétences professionnelles complémentaires aux certifications professionnelles. Ces certifications et habilitations peuvent, le cas échéant, faire l’objet de correspondances avec des blocs de compétences de certifications professionnelles.

Les certifications et habilitations établies par l’Etat requises pour l’exercice d’une profession ou une activité sur le territoire national en application d’une norme internationale ou d’une disposition législative ou réglementaire sont enregistrées de droit dans le répertoire spécifique.
