Article L614-6 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

Where the decision imposing an obligation to leave French territory is not accompanied by a deadline for voluntary departure, the matter may be referred to the president of the administrative court within forty-eight hours of notification of the measure.
This appeal shall be decided in accordance with the procedure and within the time limits laid down, depending on the basis of the decision imposing an obligation to leave French territory, in articles L. 614-4 or L. 614-5.

Lorsque la décision portant obligation de quitter le territoire français n’est pas assortie d’un délai de départ volontaire, le président du tribunal administratif peut être saisi dans le délai de quarante-huit heures suivant la notification de la mesure.
Il est statué sur ce recours selon la procédure et dans les délais prévus, selon le fondement de la décision portant obligation de quitter le territoire français, aux articles L. 614-4 ou L. 614-5.
