Article L615-13 of the French Intellectual Property Code

Without prejudice, where appropriate, to the more serious penalties laid down in relation to offences against State security, anyone who has knowingly infringed one of the prohibitions laid down in articles L. 612-9 and L. 612-10 is punishable by a fine of 4,500 euros. If the infringement has been detrimental to national defence, a prison sentence of between one and five years may also be imposed.

Sans préjudice, s’il échet, des peines plus graves prévues en matière d’atteinte à la sûreté de l’Etat, quiconque a sciemment enfreint une des interdictions portées aux articles L. 612-9 et L. 612-10 est puni d’une amende de 4 500 euros. Si la violation a porté préjudice à la défense nationale, une peine d’emprisonnement de un à cinq ans pourra, en outre, être prononcée.
