Article L6224-6 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

When territorial councillors suffer an accident in the course of their duties, the local authority pays the amount of the benefits relating to this accident directly to the practitioners, pharmacists, medical auxiliaries, suppliers and health establishments, calculated in accordance with the rates applied for health insurance.

Lorsque les conseillers territoriaux sont victimes d’un accident survenu dans l’exercice de leurs fonctions, la collectivité verse directement aux praticiens, pharmaciens, auxiliaires médicaux, fournisseurs ainsi qu’aux établissements de santé le montant des prestations afférentes à cet accident calculé selon les tarifs appliqués en matière d’assurance maladie.
