Article L6227-1 of the French Labour Code

Legal persons governed by public law whose employees are not subject to private law may enter into apprenticeship contracts in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in this Title, subject to this Chapter.

Unincorporated public bodies may, provided they have the legal capacity to recruit staff, enter into apprenticeship contracts under the same conditions as those set out in the first paragraph.

Les personnes morales de droit public dont le personnel ne relève pas du droit privé peuvent conclure des contrats d’apprentissage selon les modalités définies au présent titre, sous réserve du présent chapitre.

Les organismes publics ne disposant pas de la personnalité morale peuvent, sous réserve d’avoir la capacité juridique de recruter des personnels, conclure des contrats d’apprentissage dans les mêmes conditions que celles prévues au premier alinéa.
