Article L632-6-2 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

The Autorité des marchés financiers shall provide the competent authorities of other Member States with the information necessary to monitor and respond to the potential consequences of the activities of management companies providing portfolio management services on behalf of third parties or engaged in the activity of collective investment management on the stability of systemically important financial institutions and on the orderly functioning of the markets on which the managers are active.

It shall inform the European Securities and Markets Authority and the European Systemic Risk Board of the matters referred to in the first paragraph and shall provide them with aggregated information relating to the activities of the AIF management companies under its responsibility.

L’Autorité des marchés financiers communique aux autorités compétentes d’autres Etats membres les informations utiles pour suivre les conséquences potentielles des activités de sociétés de gestion fournissant le service de gestion de portefeuille pour le compte de tiers ou exerçant l’activité de gestion de placements collectifs, sur la stabilité d’établissements financiers présentant une importance systémique, et sur le bon fonctionnement des marchés sur lesquels les gestionnaires sont actifs, et pour réagir à ces conséquences.

Elle informe l’Autorité européenne des marchés financiers et le Comité européen du risque systémique des éléments mentionnés au premier alinéa et leur communique des informations agrégées relatives aux activités des sociétés de gestion de FIA qui sont sous sa responsabilité.
