Article L6323-5 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The local authority shall bear the cost of the harmful consequences resulting from accidents suffered by the chairman of the economic, social and cultural council in the performance of his duties.

Members of the economic, social and cultural council benefit from the same provisions when they are the victims of accidents occurring either during meetings of the council to which they belong, or during the performance of a special mandate.

La collectivité prend en charge les conséquences dommageables résultant des accidents subis par le président du conseil économique, social et culturel dans l’exercice de ses fonctions.

Les membres du conseil économique, social et culturel bénéficient des mêmes dispositions lorsqu’ils sont victimes d’accidents survenus soit à l’occasion de réunions du conseil auquel ils appartiennent, soit au cours de l’exécution d’un mandat spécial.
