Article L711-6 of the French Commercial code

In each region, a regional chamber of commerce and industry is created by decree. The constituency of the regional chamber of commerce and industry is the region or, in Corsica, the jurisdiction of the territorial collectivity. Its head office is determined by decree, after consultation with the attached territorial and departmental chambers of Ile-de-France.

In regions where there is only one territorial chamber of commerce and industry, the same public establishment carries out the tasks assigned to the regional chambers of commerce and industry and the territorial chambers of commerce and industry. It is called a regional chamber of commerce and industry.

However, a regional chamber of commerce and industry encompassing two or more regions may be created by decree. Its registered office is determined by the decree of creation after receiving the assent of the territorial chambers of commerce and industry attached to it.

Dans chaque région, il est créé par décret une chambre de commerce et d’industrie de région. La circonscription de la chambre de commerce et d’industrie de région est la région ou, en Corse, le ressort de la collectivité territoriale. Son siège est fixé par décret, après avis des chambres territoriales et départementales d’Ile-de-France rattachées.

Dans les régions où il n’existe qu’une seule chambre de commerce et d’industrie territoriale, le même établissement public exerce les missions attribuées aux chambres de commerce et d’industrie de région et aux chambres de commerce et d’industrie territoriales. Il est dénommé chambre de commerce et d’industrie de région.

Toutefois, il peut être créé par décret une chambre de commerce et d’industrie de région englobant deux ou plusieurs régions. Son siège est fixé par le décret de création après avis conforme des chambres de commerce et d’industrie territoriales qui lui sont rattachées.
