The regional chambers of commerce and industry carry out all the tasks of the network of chambers of commerce and industry provided for in article L. 710-1.
As such:
<1° They are consulted by the regional council on any business assistance scheme that the region is considering setting up;
<2° They are involved in drawing up the regional land use and development plan;
3° They are involved, under the conditions set out in the town planning code, in drawing up territorial coherence plans when these plans exceed the boundaries of a territorial or departmental chamber in Ile-de-France ;
4° They may act as contracting authority for any infrastructure or equipment project, in particular transport, and manage any service contributing to the performance of their missions; they may also be entrusted with carrying out such projects under contract with the State, the region, other local authorities in the regional constituency or their public establishments.
For tasks relating to the economic development of the regions as defined in Chapter I bis of Title V of Book II of Part Four of the General Local Authorities Code, the regional chambers of commerce and industry may act as economic development agencies for the said regions.
The activities mentioned in 4° give rise to cost accounting.
