Article L712-2 of the French Intellectual Property Code

The application for registration shall be filed and published in the form and under the conditions laid down by this Title and specified by decree in Council of State. In order to benefit from a filing date, it must include in particular a representation of the mark, a list of the goods or services for which registration is sought, the identification of the applicant and be accompanied by proof of payment of the filing fee.

Article L712-2

La demande d’enregistrement est présentée et publiée dans les formes et conditions fixées par le présent titre et précisées par décret en Conseil d’Etat. Pour bénéficier d’une date de dépôt, elle doit comporter notamment la représentation de la marque, l’énumération des produits ou des services pour lesquels l’enregistrement est demandé, l’identification du demandeur et être accompagnée de la justification du paiement de la redevance de dépôt.
