Article L811-2 of the French Intellectual Property Code

For the application of this code in the French Southern and Antarctic Territories and for the application of the provisions that it makes applicable in French Polynesia, the Wallis and Futuna Islands and New Caledonia, the following words listed below are respectively replaced by the following words:

-“tribunal judiciaire” by “tribunal de première instance”;

-“région” by “territoire”;

-“tribunal de commerce” by “tribunal de première instance statuant en matière commerciale”;

-“conseil de prud’hommes” by “tribunal du travail”.

Similarly, references to legislative provisions not applicable in the Wallis and Futuna Islands, the French Southern and Antarctic Territories and New Caledonia are replaced by references to provisions with the same purpose, resulting from locally applicable texts.

Pour l’application du présent code dans les Terres australes et antarctiques françaises ainsi que pour l’application des dispositions qu’il rend applicables en Polynésie française, dans les îles Wallis et Futuna et en Nouvelle-Calédonie, les mots suivants énumérés ci-dessous sont respectivement remplacés par les mots suivants :

– “ tribunal judiciaire ” par ” tribunal de première instance ” ;

-” région ” par ” territoire ” ;

-” tribunal de commerce ” par ” tribunal de première instance statuant en matière commerciale ” ;

-” conseil de prud’hommes ” par ” tribunal du travail “.

De même, les références à des dispositions législatives non applicables dans les îles Wallis et Futuna, dans les Terres australes et antarctiques françaises et en Nouvelle-Calédonie sont remplacées par les références aux dispositions ayant le même objet, résultant des textes applicables localement.
