Article L8113-10 of the French Labour Code

Labour inspectors take an oath not to reveal any manufacturing secrets or operating processes of which they may become aware in the course of their duties.

Breach of this oath is punishable in accordance witharticle 226-13 of the French Criminal Code.

Les inspecteurs du travail prêtent serment de ne pas révéler les secrets de fabrication et les procédés d’exploitation dont ils pourraient prendre connaissance dans l’exercice de leurs fonctions.

La méconnaissance de ce serment est punie conformément à l’article 226-13 du code pénal.
