Article L821-4 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

This prison sentence is increased to five years when the acts are committed by violence, breaking and entering or bribery, and to seven years when the acts are committed as part of a group or under the threat of a weapon or an explosive, incendiary or toxic substance.
The same penalties shall apply to any person who knowingly facilitates, by aid or assistance, the preparation or commission of the offences provided for in this article.
A foreigner convicted under this article shall be liable to the additional penalty of a ten-year ban from French territory.

Article L821-4

Est puni de trois ans d’emprisonnement le fait, pour un étranger placé ou maintenu en zone d’attente, de se soustraire ou de tenter de se soustraire à cette mesure de surveillance.
Cette peine d’emprisonnement est portée à cinq ans lorsque les faits sont commis par violence, effraction ou corruption, et à sept ans lorsque les faits sont commis en réunion ou sous la menace d’une arme ou d’une substance explosive, incendiaire ou toxique.
Est puni des mêmes peines le fait, pour toute personne, de faciliter sciemment, par aide ou par assistance, la préparation ou la commission des infractions prévues au présent article.
L’étranger condamné en application du présent article encourt la peine complémentaire de dix ans d’interdiction du territoire français.
