For the application of this book in the French Southern and Antarctic Territories:
1° The words: “in France” are replaced by the words: “in the French Southern and Antarctic Territories”;
2° Article L. 821-6 reads as follows:
“Art. L. 821-6 -An administrative fine of 5,000 euros shall be imposed on any air, sea or road transport company that disembarks on French territory, from another State, a foreigner who is not a national of a Member State of the European Union without the travel document and, where applicable, the visa required by the law or international agreement applicable to him or her by virtue of his or her nationality.
“The same fine will be imposed on any air or sea transport company that disembarks, during transit, a foreigner who is not a national of a Member State of the European Union and who does not have the travel document or visa required by the law or international agreement applicable to him/her due to his/her nationality and destination.
“The fine provided for in the first and second paragraphs is reduced to 3,000 euros per passenger when the company has set up and uses, at the place where passengers embark, an approved device for scanning and transmitting travel documents and visas to the French authorities responsible for border control”;
3° In Article L. 821-9, the words “€10,000” and “€20,000” are replaced by the words “€3,000 to €5,000” and “€6,000 to €10,000” respectively.
