As of the first meeting following the renewal of its deliberative assembly in 2011, the departmental collectivity of Mayotte is erected into a collectivity governed by the article 73 of the Constitution, which shall be known as the “Department of Mayotte” and shall exercise the powers devolved to overseas departments and overseas regions.

A compter de la première réunion suivant le renouvellement de son assemblée délibérante en 2011, la collectivité départementale de Mayotte est érigée en une collectivité régie par l’article 73 de la Constitution, qui prend le nom de ” Département de Mayotte ” et exerce les compétences dévolues aux départements d’outre-mer et aux régions d’outre-mer.
