Article LO6321-25 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

After the election of the Executive Council under the conditions set out in article LO 6322-6, the Territorial Council may form its committees and appoint its members or delegates to sit on outside bodies and delegate the exercise of some of its powers to the Executive Council.

In this case, and notwithstanding article LO 6321-22, the reports on the business submitted to the territorial councillors may be communicated to them during the meeting; a suspension of the sitting is as of right.

Après l’élection du conseil exécutif dans les conditions prévues à l’article LO 6322-6, le conseil territorial peut former ses commissions et procéder à la désignation de ses membres ou de ses délégués pour siéger au sein d’organismes extérieurs et déléguer l’exercice d’une partie de ses attributions au conseil exécutif.

En ce cas, et par dérogation à l’article LO 6321-22, les rapports sur les affaires soumises aux conseillers territoriaux peuvent leur être communiqués en cours de réunion ; une suspension de séance est de droit.
