Article R1112-28 of the French Public Health Code

If, in order to safeguard the secrecy of the pregnancy or birth, the person concerned requests the benefit of the secrecy of the admission, under the conditions provided for by article L. 222-6 of the Code de l’action sociale et des familles, no identification is required and no investigation is undertaken. This admission is granted on condition that there are no vacant beds in a maternity centre in the département or in those with which the département has entered into an agreement.

The Director will inform the Departmental Director of Health and Social Affairs of the admission.

Si pour sauvegarder le secret de la grossesse ou de la naissance l’intéressée demande le bénéfice du secret de l’admission, dans les conditions prévues par l’article L. 222-6 du code de l’action sociale et des familles, aucune pièce d’identité n’est exigée et aucune enquête n’est entreprise. Cette admission est prononcée sous réserve qu’il n’existe pas de lits vacants dans un centre maternel du département ou dans ceux avec lesquels le département a passé convention.

Le directeur informe de cette admission le directeur départemental des affaires sanitaires et sociales.
