Article R1124-5 of the French Public Health Code

The sponsor of a clinical trial which consists of the extension of a previous trial may inform the designated personal data protection committee within twenty-four hours that this trial is linked to a parent study evaluated by another personal data protection committee.

The designated committee may ask the Minister for Health to assign this file to the committee that assessed the first parent study.

Le promoteur d’un essai clinique qui consiste en l’extension d’un précédent essai peut informer, dans un délai de vingt-quatre heures, le comité de protection des personnes désigné que cet essai est lié à une étude parente évaluée par un autre comité de protection des personnes.

Le comité désigné peut demander au ministre chargé de la santé que ce dossier soit attribué au comité qui a évalué la première étude parente.
