Article R1125-11 of the French Public Health Code

The Director General of the Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé may notify the sponsor of any objections to the implementation of the research in a reasoned letter. He will inform the relevant personal data protection committee. It sets a deadline for the sponsor to submit its amended project. The sponsor may amend the content of his research project and send it to the Director General of the Agency within the time limit set. This deadline does not suspend the deadline for the Director General to decide on the application for authorisation pursuant to Article R. 1125-10. This amendment procedure may only be applied once to each research project. Any sponsor who does not submit an amended project within the time limit set is deemed to have withdrawn the application.

Article R1125-11

Le directeur général de l’Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé peut notifier par lettre motivée au promoteur ses objections à la mise en œuvre de la recherche. Il en informe le comité de protection des personnes concerné. Il fixe un délai au promoteur pour lui adresser son projet modifié. Le promoteur peut modifier le contenu de son projet de recherche et l’adresser au directeur général de l’Agence dans le délai imparti. Ce délai ne suspend pas le délai dont dispose le directeur général pour se prononcer sur la demande d’autorisation en application de l’article R. 1125-10. Cette procédure de modification ne peut être appliquée qu’une seule fois à chaque projet de recherche. Le promoteur qui ne produit pas un projet modifié dans les délais impartis est réputé avoir renoncé à sa demande.
