Article R1131-10 of the French Public Health Code

Renewal of the practitioner’s accreditation is issued by the Director General of the Agence de la biomédecine. Renewal is subject to assessment of the practitioner’s activity, in accordance with the following criteria:

1° Participation by the practitioner in continuing education in the field of genetic characteristics testing ;

2° Obtaining qualifications, carrying out work and publishing during the period of validity of the approval.

These criteria are specified by the Director General of the Agency, after obtaining the opinion of its Steering Committee.

The application for renewal of accreditation must be submitted by the practitioner to the Agence de la biomédecine at least six months before the expiry date of this accreditation.

If renewal is refused, the Director General of the Agence de la biomédecine will inform the practitioner, the competent regional health agency and the establishment or organisation holding the authorisation referred to in Article R. 1131-13 in which the practitioner works of this decision.

Article R1131-10

Le renouvellement de l’agrément du praticien est délivré par le directeur général de l’Agence de la biomédecine. Il est subordonné à l’évaluation de son activité, selon les critères suivants :

1° Participation du praticien à la formation continue dans le domaine de l’examen des caractéristiques génétiques ;

2° Obtention de titres, réalisation de travaux, publications durant la période de validité de l’agrément.

Ces critères sont précisés par le directeur général de l’agence, après avis de son conseil d’orientation.

Le dossier de demande de renouvellement de l’agrément doit être déposé par le praticien, auprès de l’Agence de la biomédecine, au moins six mois avant la date d’échéance de cet agrément.

En cas de refus de renouvellement, le directeur général de l’Agence de la biomédecine informe de cette décision le praticien, l’agence régionale de santé compétente, ainsi que l’établissement ou organisme titulaire de l’autorisation mentionnée à l’article R. 1131-13 au sein duquel exerce le praticien.
