The Chairman of the Commission, when he is not seconded to the Office, and, where applicable, his deputy or deputies, receive allowances in recognition of the particular duties to which they are subject.
The same applies to the independent mediators provided for in the fourth paragraph of article L. 1142-5.
Allowances are paid to other members or their alternates when their participation in Commission meetings results in a loss of income.
The amount of these allowances is set by order of the ministers responsible for the budget and health.
The members of the commission and their alternates, as well as the mediators, are entitled to reimbursement of the travel and accommodation expenses they may incur in the course of their duties, under the conditions set by decree no. 2006-781 of 3 July 2006 setting the terms and conditions for the payment of expenses incurred by civil servants in their temporary travel.
