Article R122-29 of the French Intellectual Property Code

The appropriate licences referred to in II of article L. 122-5-4 shall be sent to the educational establishments or, in accordance with article R. 122-30, to the competent ministers, by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt or by any other means capable of certifying the date of receipt and the identity of the addressee, including electronically.

For each licence, the proposal specifies:

-the authorised uses;

-the works or sets of works whose use is authorised;

the duration of the authorisations granted;

– the remuneration payable in return for the authorisations
-the remuneration due in return for the authorisations granted;

Les licences adéquates mentionnées au II de l’article L. 122-5-4 sont adressées aux établissements d’enseignement ou, conformément à l’article R. 122-30, aux ministres compétents, par lettre recommandée avec demande d’avis de réception ou par tout autre moyen permettant d’attester de la date de réception et de l’identité du destinataire, y compris par voie électronique.


Pour chaque licence, la proposition précise :


-les utilisations autorisées ;


-les œuvres ou ensembles d’œuvres dont l’utilisation est autorisée ;


-la durée des autorisations consenties ;


-la rémunération due en contrepartie des autorisations consenties.
